RIC@Brampton is hosting a Lunch & Learn workshop on market segmentation. Market segmentation is a critical element of a marketing framework to successful commercialization. The benefits of market segmentation cannot be ignored. It can result in faster product uptake, higher market share, customer retention, smart resource allocation and enhanced profits. The objectives of this interactive seminar are to help you increase the success of commercialization and improve team alignment and strategic performance. This seminar will review three topics of discussion; 1) context around the practice of market segmentation, 2) market segmentation as part of a broader marketing framework and a 3) stepwise approach on how to develop a market segmentation model.

Nick Kuryluk, Principal of K+S Associates

In 2013, Nykolaj helped establish K+S and Associates, a Professional Services Firm that is specialized in the integration of Strategic Planning, Project Management and Change management and how these elements enable organizations to evolve and succeed. Prior to establishing K+S, Nykolaj has worked in the Bio-Pharmaceutical Industry for 24 years -- 22 of them with Amgen Inc., a biotechnology company that discovers, develops, and manufactures human therapeutics. While at Amgen, Nykolaj was Director of the Strategy and Program Management Office. In his role, he governed Amgen Canada's approach to 1) Strategic Planning, 2) Program Management, and 3) New Products Commercialization. He was also a participating member and Secretary of Amgen Canada's Executive Committee. Nykolaj's experience in the Bio-Pharmaceutical Industry has given him a solid understanding of organizational governance, cross functional integration and delivering results, and how these are all interconnected.
